1941 Egypt India Commander in Chief GV 1a3p to General Gwatkin

Egypt – Indian Army Post: 1941 (20 September). ‘Commander in Chief’s House, Gezira, Cairo’ imprinted envelope addressed to Major General (Frederick) Gwatkin who was the Commander of The Indian States Force Training & Command Organization at India franked with 8a. KGVI and 1a.3p. KGV stamps tied by Cairo – Postage Prepaid datestamp and Unit 319 censor cachet. Reverse 27 September Simla arrival cds. GV 1a.3p. stamps used only as the service stamps.
