Sultan Mehmed Khan V&#8217; to Waldenburg, Germany franked with two pairs of 5pa. of 1910 issue for twenty paras postcard rate tied by COSPOLI PORT <em>(Constantinople)</em> datestamp. <em>The Romanian post office attempted to create a postal service to Bucharest from a ship moored in the dock in Istanbul but it was rapidly closed down following Ottoman objection. The service, while it lasted, used Austrian Levant adhesives with a Romanian three line datestamp. <strong>Usage of Ottoman stamps are extremely rare and very few recorded</strong>.</em></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Romania. 1921 (8 MAY) cover from Silistra to an Ottoman Armenian subject British PO in Constantinople franked on reverse block of 9, pair and a two single 5b perf. 11 1/2 of 1919 and block of four 30b compound perf of 1927 King Ferdinand issue and tied by dispatch date stamps. On arrival POSTES ROUMAINES * CONSTANTINOPLE 10*5*921 arrival cds. Folded on middle and a part of cover missing from top but still a very scarce cover and scarce usage of 5b perf 11 1/2 as multiples.</p>
