1901 Turkey Internal External Mix Postcard

Ottoman Turkey: 1901 (18 October). Postcard titled ‘Gare Des Chemin De Fer Orientaux A Stamboul (Sirkedji)’ (ed. Max Fruchtermann) to Innsbruck, Austria franked with two 20pa internal and external use of 1901 stamps and tied by P.I.O. (Poste Imperiale Ottomane) handstamps and Cons-Ple – Galata datestamp and faint 21 October arrival cds. Postcard rate was 20pa so additional franking can be explained as the sender originally affixed internal use stamp but at the post-office correct external use stamp added and both cancelled.
