Ottoman Turkey: 1910 (7 August). 20pa postal stationery card to Kayseri struck by GALICIA OE. LLOYD (Tchilinghirian type LE) datestamp and two lines RETOUR / INCONNU hand cachet. Reverse personal ‘chops’ of five different postmen who attempted to deliver it. Tchilinghirian comment that Turkish material should exist and rated RR/RRR. S.S. Galicia served mainly on the fast lines to Constantinople and Odessa, but was often diverted to other Levant lines.
