Registered cover addressed to Malta detainee Hadji Ahmed Pasha who was the father of Ottoman War Minister Enver Pasha franked with 2d and 2 1/2d tied by British Army Post Office Constantinople (Sg. type Z12) datestamp and straight line red PASSED CENSOR hand cachet. Reverse 12 February arrival cds. Cover sent by Enver Pasha’s younger brother Kamil bey. Hadji Ahmet Pasha was arrested when the British raided the Ottoman Parliament and arrived in Malta on 2 June 1919 and was released on 30 April 1921.
