French stamps tied by ABIYE (LÜBNAN) – ABIÉ (LIBAN) (RL #4) datestamps. Reverse 31 January Beirut transit and 2 February Cairo arrival cds’s. Philatelically inspired but very rare Ottoman type cancel previously unrecorded by Longo. Albert Eid was a prominent Cairo stamp dealer, among whose customers was King Fouad of Egypt.
