1924 Lebanon Riyaq Airmail Set Cover to SP615 Aleppo

Lebanon: 1924 (27 April). Airmail cover franked with ‘Gd. Liban Avion’ surcharged on French Merson complete set of four tied by Rayak datestamps, same day Poste Aux Armees * 615 and Alep arrival cds’s also repeated on reverse and COURRIER PAR AVION hand cachet. Probably philatelicly inspired but very scarce. In 1924 there were several squadrons of the French Armee de L’Air, equipped with Breguet 14 aircraft, forming the 39th Aviation Regiment with headquarters in Riyaq. Sg. 54/57
