Iran: 1939 (30 April). Airmail cover to England franked with 3ch to 15ch Iran overprinted airmail and pairs of 10d, 30d and 45d Riza Shah Pahlavi stamps tied by DJASK datestamps. A message on cover “…had to get up at 3am and the plane started at 4am. The weather has become very warm and the next trip in Karachi – India in 3 hours time. We are now starting again and I am delaying the plane they say…”. Cover must have been sent at stopover during London – Karachi flight. Fascinating.
