Cyprus: 1942 (20 February). Commercial cover to New York, United States franked with strip of three 1pi KGVI stamps tied by Nicosia datestamp and M/6 Opened by Examiner censor label. They are come in use on February 1940 so this might well have been the earliest recorded.
