Aleppo College imprinted airmail cover to Bostun, United States franked with 3p pictorial, 10p, 25p and three 50p airmail stamps for 15p postage, 3p war tax and 170p airmail surcharge rate tied by Alep 1 datestamps. Reverse 25 July Beyrouth transit and Controle Posta censor label. After 8 December 1941 mail from Syria to USA was forwarded to Cairo then sent by BOAC’s trans Africa route to Lagos where it was sent to Miami via Pan Am’s FM22 route across the South Atlantic and then up through the West Indies.
