Türkiye: 1959 (March – August). Various birds design airmail stamps issued between 14 March and 13 August franked on two registered covers to United States tied by 30 August and 15 September Beyoglu datestamps. Reverse Hava Limani Yesilkoy (Airport) transit and New York arrival cds’s. Most recorded ‘so called’ FDCs dates 1960 and not postally used. Very few used covers recorded and possibly this is the only complete set dated 1959. Elusive and very rare.
